Beauty company Avon International has selected Blue Yonder’s cognitive demand planning, enterprise supply planning and control tower AI solutions to create an end-to-end next-generation supply chain.

Part of Avon International’s strategy is to optimise its manufacturing and distribution processes in both Europe and Asia Pacific (APAC) by establishing a planning hub for centralised demand and supply planning.

To streamline demand planning, respond more quickly to the cosmetics market and enhance decision-making, the company will use Blue Yonder’s flexible SaaS (software-as-a-service) supply chain solutions, based on AI and machine learning capabilities.

The solutions analyse the extensibility and explainability of causal factors which for Avon include campaigns, price, promotions, catalogue position and seasonality.

Avon will benefit from an end-to-end planning process for managing trends, demand, supply, inventory, vendor collaboration and expanded omnichannel capabilities.

Avon International’s manufacturing supply chain operations in Europe and APAC are managed by Avon Operations Polska (AOP) and Avon Distribution Polska, with the backbone of their activities located in Garwolin, Poland.
