Irish roadside hospitality brand Applegreen will enhance its partnership with Marks & Spencer by opening 20 new M&S Food stores by March 2026.

The expansion represents a substantial investment and will bring the total number of M&S Food stores operated by Applegreen to 41 by the end of 2025, with ambitions to increase this figure to 60 in the medium term.

The initiative will introduce more than 400 M&S Food products at each new location, expanding Applegreen’s offerings and improving convenience for customers.

The rollout has already commenced, with the first outlet launched in Ennis at Applegreen’s Limerick Road site in February 2025.

Applegreen M&S operations head Mark Ryan stated: “Our partnership with M&S has been working really well over the past two years, and we’re delighted to be bringing M&S Food at Applegreen to 20 additional locations this year.

“The expansion of our M&S Food partnership is one of the key elements of our growth plans in the Irish market, alongside further investment in our Braeburn Coffee brand, and significant investment in new and upgraded sites.”

In addition to doubling their current network of M&S Food stores, Applegreen will offer Click & Collect services for M&S clothing and selected home products.

Customers can make online purchases at marksandspencer.com/ie and pick up their items at any Applegreen location.

M&S in Ireland and Northern Ireland country director Eddie Murphy stated: “We’re bringing our trusted quality and delicious M&S Food range to even more locations, offering great value and convenience as part of this growing partnership with Applegreen.

“We’re particularly excited to be extending our Click & Collect service to these new stores, making it even easier for customers to access our clothing and home ranges.”

The exclusive agreement ensures that each M&S Food at Applegreen store stocks a wide array of M&S products, including ready meals, fresh produce and popular items such as Percy Pig sweets and Colin the Caterpillar cakes.
