In a strategic move to enhance customer offerings, Amazon has introduced a healthcare benefit exclusively for Prime members in the US.
The partnership with One Medical aims to provide accessible and cost-effective health care for Prime subscribers.
This new membership benefit is available for $9 a month or $99 annually.
Nationwide on-demand virtual care
Prime members now have access to 24/7 on-demand virtual care through One Medical’s services, including video consultations with licensed providers and an in-app “Treat Me Now” feature for common health concerns.
This virtual care is available nationwide at no additional cost.
The One Medical app makes it easy for members to navigate care from prescription management and secure messaging with providers to follow-up action items after appointments.

By GlobalDataIn-person and remote primary care services
Prime members living near One Medical’s US locations can schedule same or next-day remote or in-person appointments.
One Medical’s offices focus on patient comfort, providing stress-free environments with on-site labs and extended visit times. Members can choose to use their insurance or pay out of pocket.
Affordable family health
The new healthcare benefit extends cost-effectiveness to families, allowing Prime members to add up to five additional memberships at reduced rates.
Each additional membership is priced at $6 a month or $66 annually, offering savings on the standard One Medical membership fee.
Amazon Health Services senior vice-president Neil Lindsay emphasised the importance of easier access to care, stating: “When it is easier for people to get the care they need, they engage more in their health and realise better health outcomes.”
Amazon health portfolio grows
Prime members also have access to benefits from Amazon Pharmacy, including RxPass, which lets members get as many eligible medications as they need for one flat fee of $5 per month. These are delivered free in two days or less.
In addition, Amazon provides Prime Rx, helping Prime members save up to 80% on prescriptions when not using insurance at Amazon Pharmacy and more than 60,000 pharmacies across the US.
This move reflects Amazon’s commitment to providing practical healthcare solutions for Prime members.
