US retailer Academy Sports + Outdoors plans to expand its retail presence in the country with 15 to 17 new store openings in the fiscal year 2024.
The expansion has already commenced with two new stores in Knightdale, North Carolina, and Greenwood, Indiana in the first quarter.
The Knightdale store celebrated its grand opening from 22 to 24 March, while the Greenwood store is set to welcome customers from 12 to 14 April.
Each Academy store offers a family-friendly shopping experience with sports and camping equipment, footwear, apparel, hunting and fishing gear, and outdoor cooking essentials.
The retailer offers complimentary services such as grill and bike assembly, bore sighting, scope mounting, line winding and spooling, and propane exchange, along with the sale of hunting and fishing licenses.
Academy provides outdoor apparel and equipment, hunting optics, workout attire and outdoor furniture through its exclusive, private-label brands such as BCG, Freely, H2OX, Magellan Outdoors, Mosaic, Redfield and ROW.
