The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 4% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 1.93% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2022, and recorded a 0.63% decline over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Woolworths Group IT hiring in October 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Woolworths Group, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 38.98% in October 2022, and an 11.54% drop over September 2022, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 35.59% in October 2022, and registered a decline of 53.33%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 10.17% in October 2022, a 500% rise from September 2022.
Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Woolworths Group
Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global retail IT hiring activity in October 2022 with a 91.53% share, which marked a 31.65% drop over the previous month.
North America stood next with 8.47%, registering a 150% month-on-month growth.
Australia commanded a leading presence in the region’s retail industry IT hiring activity with a 66.1% share in October 2022, a 41.79% decline over September 2022. India featured next with a 13.56% share, down 11.11% over the previous month. New Zealand recorded an 11.86% share, an increase of 133.33% compared with September 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Woolworths Group IT hiring activity in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 81.36%, down by 32.39% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 13.56% share, a growth of 33.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 5.08% share, down 25% over September 2022.
