US-based company Walmart’s IT hiring rose 0.4% in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 7.12% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 2.53% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2021, and recorded a 0.2% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Walmart IT hiring in September 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Walmart, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 84.52% in September 2021, and a 13.13% drop over August 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 6.63% in September 2021, and registered a decline of 55%. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 4.91% in September 2021, a 150% rise from August 2021.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 4.42%, registering a 90.63% month-on-month decline.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s retail industry IT hiring activity with a 91.89% share in September 2021, an 11.64% growth over August 2021. India featured next with a 4.42% share, down 90.63% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 3.69% share, an increase of 87.5% compared with August 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Walmart IT hiring activity in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.06%, down by 19.48% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 26.78% share, a decline of 14.84% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 3.44% share, down 73.58% over August 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.72%, recording a month-on-month decline of 30%.
