US-based company Walmart’s IT hiring increased 6.0% in July 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 20.62% in July 2021 when compared with June 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 2.15% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2021, and recorded a 0.23% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Walmart IT hiring in July 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Walmart, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 84.3% in July 2021, and a 0.27% growth over June 2021, while Computer and Information Research Scientists claimed a share of 8.97% in July 2021, and registered a 9.09% decline. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 5.16% in July 2021, a 35.29% rise from June 2021.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s retail industry IT hiring activity with a 97.76% share in July 2021, a 1.63% growth over June 2021. India featured next with a 1.57% share, up 40% over the previous month.Mexico recorded a 0.67% share, decline of 40% compared with June 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Walmart IT hiring activity in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.88%, down by 0.72% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 32.96% share, a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 3.59% share, up 100% over June 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.57%, recording a month-on-month decline of 12.5%.
