1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 75.47% in April 2021, a 26.98% drop over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 7.1% share, an increase of 6.99% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 6.92%, registering a 13.38% decline from March 2021.

4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 4.88%, down 11.68% over the previous month.

Top five retail companies in the US IT recruitment activity in April 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 25.12% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US retail industry during April 2021 over March 2021.

Amazon posted 2,737 IT jobs in April 2021 and registered a drop of 32.9% over the previous month, followed by Walmart with 298 jobs and a 6.88% drop. CVS Health with 288 IT jobs and Lowe’s Companies with 154 jobs, recorded a 94.59% growth and a 16.76% decline, respectively, while The Home Depot recorded a 61.84% an increase with 123 job postings during April 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 79.85%, up by 20.38% from March 2021. Mid Level positions with a 14.16% share, a decline of 49.64% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 5.75% share, down 83.25% over March 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.24%, recording a month-on-month decline of 25%.
