The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 21% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s retail industry during October 2021 over September 2021.
Amazon posted 88 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a drop of 37.59% over the previous month, followed by ASOS with 25 jobs and an 8.7% growth. John Lewis Partnership with 16 IT jobs and Marks and Spencer Group with 15 jobs, recorded a 33.33% decline and a 25% flat growth, respectively, while LightInTheBox Holding recorded a flat growth with 14 job postings during October 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.9%, down by 25.61% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 15.72% share, registered a decline of 30.88% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 13.38% share, up 5.26% over September 2021.
