The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 6.74% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.

Top five retail companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 26.56% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s retail industry during October 2022 over September 2022.
JD posted 46 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a drop of 23.33% over the previous month, followed by Amazon with 25 jobs and a 48.98% drop. Inter IKEA Holding with 12 IT jobs and Laobaixing Pharmacy Chain with 9 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while eBay recorded a decline of 84.62% with 2 job postings during October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.28%, down by 30.93% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 20.21% share, registered a decline of 5% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with an 8.51% share, down 42.86% over September 2022.
