The value marked an increase of 779.7% over the previous month of $964m and a rise of 176.2% when compared with the last 12-month average of $3.07bn.
North America held an 81.54% share of the global consumer industry M&A deal value that totalled $10.4bn in June 2022. With an 81.54% share and deals worth $8.48bn, the US was the top country in North America’s M&A deal value across consumer industry.
In terms of M&A deal activity, North America recorded 60 deals during June 2022, marking an increase of 9.09% over the previous month and a rise of 3.45% over the 12-month average. The US recorded 54 deals during the month.

The combined value of the top five consumer deals stood at $8.16bn, against the overall value of $8.5bn recorded for the month.
