The value marked a decrease of 92.3% over the previous month of $18.52bn and a drop of 70.2% when compared with the last 12-month average of $4.79bn.
Europe held a 13.75% share of the global consumer industry M&A deal value that totalled $10.4bn in June 2022. With a 7.15% share and deals worth $743.99m, Norway was the top country in Europe’s M&A deal value across consumer industry.
In terms of M&A deal activity, Europe recorded 46 deals during June 2022, marking an increase of 17.95% over the previous month and a drop of 8.00% over the 12-month average. The UK recorded 13 deals during the month.

The combined value of the top five consumer deals stood at $971.16m, against the overall value of $1.4bn recorded for the month.
