Discount grocery chain Save A Lot has announced a partnership with automated fulfilment solutions provider Fabric, to offer automated grocery delivery services in New York City (NYC), US.
The announcement comes as the partnership’s micro-fulfilment centre is set to open in October 2024 in a Brooklyn warehouse.
The collaboration will combine the retailer’s affordable grocery essentials with Fabric’s automation to provide value-conscious consumers with greater convenience.
With the new Brooklyn micro-fulfilment centre, Save A Lot is expanding its reach in NYC, improving its last-mile delivery options.
Orders from this centre will be delivered through the Uber Eats app by Uber couriers.
Fabric’s automated facilities have retention rates in 90% of its ranges, attributed to better wages and reduced turnover compared to traditional grocery stores.
