Australian supermarket chain Woolworths has announced price reductions on hundreds of everyday essentials items both in store and online.
Starting 28 August, prices of more than 450 products will be reduced, with up to 23% reduction on some family meal products.
As part of the Prices Dropped programme, the retailer will cut the prices of a number of fresh proteins including family meat favourites such as Champagne Leg Ham Sliced From The Deli, Woolworths Beef Sizzle Schnitzel and Woolworths Chicken RSPCA Approved Chicken Wings.
Prices were also reduced on pantry staples like snacks, salad dressing, and kid’s yoghurts, as well as everyday household cleaning supplies and personal care items.
Woolworths chief commercial officer Paul Harker said: “Our customers have told us they’re looking for value more than ever before.
“This spring we have more than 450 products dropping in price to help them better manage their budgets, especially as Australians reconnect more with family and friends over meals and occasions as the months warm up.”
