UK convenience retailer Co-op has announced the extension of its partnership with logistics company Wincanton for an additional five years up to 2029.
The renewal continues a 30-year collaborative relationship, with Wincanton providing key facilities management and distribution services from Co-op’s regional distribution centre in Wellingborough.
The 340,000ft² Wellingborough distribution centre, managed by Wincanton since 2019, will continue to serve as a critical hub for Co-op’s supply chain.
The extended partnership will see Wincanton replenishing 350 Co-op stores across the Midlands, South East and East of England.
The company will deliver 750,000 cases per week, including frozen, chilled and ambient products.
Wincanton will continue to provide service to Co-op’s member-owners and customers through its 600 plus colleagues.
