British co-operative group Co-op has revealed plans to open a new service station and convenience store on 8 August 2024 on the A92 road between Aberdeen and Portlethen, Scotland.
Portlethen Services, situated off Hillside Road, will feature four electric vehicle (EV) charging points, ten fuel pumps and dedicated HGV lanes.
The accompanying Co-op store will offer a range of products, including self-service Starbucks coffee, everyday essentials, sandwiches, Fairtrade items and car care products.
The service station will soon introduce an online grocery delivery service through Deliveroo, allowing for quick and convenient community deliveries.
Food service at the site will be complemented by a Sbarro outlet, offering New York-style pizza.
Co-op partnership development director Martin Rogers said: “We are delighted to be working with EG On The Move, our second forecourt partner, helping us achieve our ambitious plans in this exciting sector. We look forward to further growing our franchise business, working with partners of pedigree to bring Co-op products and membership to more communities, creating more choice and value for our member-owners and customers.”
