Independent retailer East of England Co-operative Society has announced a partnership with Sweden-based technology company Pricer for the installation of cloud-based platform Pricer Plaza and digital labels across its entire chain of over 120 food stores.
This order, valued at approximately Skr50m ($4m), aims to enhance operational efficiency through installation of Pricer’s in-store automation and communication solution and the latest four-colour electronic shelf labels.
The installation process is set to commence in June, with completion targeted for spring 2025.
The retailer’s stores throughout the East of England region will leverage a retail-grade platform that facilitates real-time updates across all locations..
The solution, based on cloud-based platform Pricer Plaza, allows the co-operative to centrally manage and update pricing, product information, and promotions on all electronic shelf labels in connected stores.
This platform also eliminates the need for manual updates, minimises errors, and ensures accuracy and efficiency, allowing store colleagues to dedicate their time to more value-adding tasks.
