IKEA Canada, a part of Ingka Group, has revealed plans to open a 7,489m² Scarborough Town Centre store on 23 August 2023.
The store will offer more than 2,500 affordable, sustainable and small-space living solutions for the Scarborough community and beyond.
The IKEA Scarborough Town Centre store is the second small store format for IKEA Canada after the opening of the IKEA Toronto Downtown-Aura store in 2022.
The Scarborough store will feature solutions similar to those available in its Toronto store, including the Swedish Deli food experience serving classic Swedish dishes such as meatballs and frozen yoghurt.
It will also feature IKEA’s traditional one-way flow layout, with two entrances/exits and check-out lanes.
In addition, the Scarborough Town Centre store will be equipped with digital tools and a full range of convenient services, including assembly, returns, home delivery and a dedicated Planning Hub.
