Tanger Outlets Nashville is an outlet shopping centre built by Tanger Factory Outlet Centers (Tanger), a real estate investment company based in the US, in Nashville, Tennessee, with an investment of $143.4m.
It is Tanger’s third outlet in Tennessee, joining others in Sevierville and Memphis in the state. It is the 37th shopping centre in the developer’s portfolio.
Ground-breaking on the outlet shopping centre took place in May 2022. The shopping centre was opened in October 2023.
The outlet shopping centre created 700 jobs during the construction phase and provides 1,100 full and part-time retail and management jobs through the centre’s operations.
The Urban Land Institute of Nashville (ULI) awarded Tanger Outlets Nashville the 2024 Excellence in Development Award.

Tanger Outlets Nashville is located along Interstate 24 (I-24) at Hickory Hollow Parkway in Antioch. It is situated 11 miles (17.7km) from Nashville and 20 miles from Murfreesboro.
The outlet centre is developed on a 32-acre (12.94 hectare) parcel of land within Century Farms development, a 300-acre, mixed-use development in Davidson County, Tennessee.
The site is located within ten miles (16km) reach for more than 450,000 locals, and within 30 miles (48.2km) of a population of 1.68 million.
Tanger chose Nashville due to the low cost of doing business, which is 10% less than the national average. It is one of the fastest-growing metros in the US and ranked third in terms of inbound population growth in 2020.

Tanger Outlets Nashville spans 290,000ft² (26,942m²) and showcases a transformative consumer-informed design, enhancing the on-site experience, boosting consumer engagement and streamlining product interaction and pickup.
The shopping centre features 60 retail stores spread across seven buildings present around a central outdoor community green area, The Green. The Green is a meticulously landscaped outdoor leisure area, equipped with a large screen and stage for various events and activations, offering visitors a lively and interactive shopping experience.
The shopping centre incorporates an extensive arts programme, showcasing 15 unique large-scale murals by local and nationally acclaimed artists, mirroring Nashville’s rich artistic heritage.
The centre hosts a variety of retailers, featuring well-known lifestyle brands and international designers. They offer products across multiple categories including fashion and footwear, accessories and jewellery, sportswear and leisurewear, home decor, beauty products and gifts.
Retail options
Approximately 25% of the brands at Tanger Nashville are either new to Tanger’s portfolio or are entering the outlet market for the first time, encompassing several native digital brands.
Adidas, American Eagle, Fossil, Ralph Lauren and Under Armour are a few retail brands in the centre.
The vintage-inspired leather goods and accessories brand Patricia Nash has a 3,000ft² store in the centre, offering a diverse selection of signature items such as handcrafted handbags, wallets, belts, jewellery, men’s accessories and home and gift articles.
Pottery Barn, an American high-end home decor and furniture store chain, operates a store within the outlet centre, supplying distinctive home furnishings.
Food and beverage options
The outlet centre includes a variety of dining establishments, from full-service restaurants to quick-service eateries.
Visitors can select from dining options such as Prince’s Hot Chicken, a local Nashville speciality, Eggspectation, a brunch restaurant, and Shake Shack, an American fast-casual restaurant. Crumbl Cookie, a bakery chain, presents a selection of cookie varieties.
TailGate Brewery, known for its small-batch speciality beers, and homemade, creative pizzas, and Red Bicycle Coffee, a local Nashville coffee shop and creperie, offer additional beverage and dining choices.
Surcheros will soon arrive, offering freshly prepared Tex-Mex dishes, blending Mexican and American culinary traditions.
Sustainability features in Tanger Outlets Nashville
The Tanger Outlets Nashville has been constructed with an emphasis on environmental sustainability, adhering to the LEED [leadership in energy and environmental design] certification guidelines. The project is in the process of obtaining its silver-level certification.
Tanger has also invested in renewable energy installations on the premises, the creation of butterfly habitats, facilities for charging electric vehicles and other sustainable operational programmes.
Improved security measures have been implemented to enhance the well-being and safety of the Nashville populace.
Contractors involved
Dorsky + Yue International, an architecture company, provided the architectural design for the Tanger Outlets Nashville shopping centre.
Choate Construction, a construction company, was awarded a contract for the project’s construction. The company was involved in the project for more than two years before construction began. The project was the third Tanger outlet centre built by Choate.
Kimley-Horn and Associates, a planning and design consultancy, served as the engineering consultant for the project.
