The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 29.78% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.
Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.66% share in June 2022, recording an increase of 0.04% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 0.35% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s consumer industry during June 2022 over May 2022.
The J. R. Simplot posted 99 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a rise of 80% over the previous month, followed by Carrier Global with 60 jobs and a 28.57% drop. PepsiCo with 47 IT jobs and Haier Group with 40 jobs, recorded a 32.86% decline and a 17.65% growth, respectively, while Rich Products recorded a decline of 5% with 38 job postings during June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 59.52%, down by 16.67% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 21.53% share, registered a decline of 19.93% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 17.66% share, up 2.3% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.29%, recording a month-on-month decline of 27.78%.
