Top five retail companies in Canada’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 15.12% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada’s retail industry during June 2022 over May 2022.
Canadian Tire posted 33 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a drop of 2.94% over the previous month, followed by Loblaw Companies with 11 jobs and a 59.26% drop. Empire with 11 IT jobs and Lululemon Athletica with 10 jobs, recorded a 22.22% growth and a 37.5% decrease, respectively, while goeasy recorded a flat growth with 8 job postings during June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.26%, down by 70.14% from May 2022. Entry Level positions with a 20.75% share, registered a decline of 86.67% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 16.04% share, down 74.24% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.94%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
