By GlobalDataThe initiative aims to offer flexibility when returning George products and other fashion items purchased online.
In addition, customers can track their package until it reaches the original retailer using toyou, Asda’s Click and Collect and Return service for parcels.
The trial will expand accessibility to toyou, making the service available to online grocery customers in the trial locations for the first time.
Asda e-commerce senior vice-president Simon Gregg said: “We know that customers increasingly want to be able to access more services more conveniently to better fit in with their lifestyle.
“By partnering with toyou to efficiently use space available within our home shopping vans, we’re able to offer online grocery customers an additional service that makes it simple to return items purchased via George.com and hundreds of the nation’s favourite retailers.
“With many more of us now shopping for fashion items online, this trial gives customers added value when they shop with us.”
Customers will be required to follow the process with their retailers and schedule online grocery orders with Asda to use the return service.
Earlier this month, George at Asda partnered with US-based streaming service Netflix to sell fashion and lifestyle products for families.
The retailer will launch a number of exclusive Netflix ranges both in-store and online throughout the year, including Netflix-themed clothing, accessories and general merchandise.
The collection available includes branded footwear, accessories, stationery, mugs and board games based on several Netflix original series such as Squid Game, Stranger Things, Money Heist, Emily in Paris and Cobra Kai.
