US-based supermarket chain Southeastern Grocers has introduced contactless prescription delivery to enhance customer safety amid coronavirus.
As part of this commitment, Southeastern Grocers partnered with prescription delivery and medication reminder service ScriptDrop.
The company’s brands Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie will offer three convenient contactless prescription delivery options including free curbside pickup, two-day shipping for $4.99 and same-day delivery, for customers within five miles radius.
Southeastern Grocers Pharmacy and Grocery Non-Food Merchandising VP Gayle Shields said: “We are at a pivotal moment in the fight against Covid-19 and we all need to do our part to protect one another when possible.
“In an effort to give our customers a more accessible and safe way to pick up medication, Southeastern Grocers will begin to offer contactless prescription delivery at all Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket, and Winn-Dixie pharmacy locations.
“We hope this new option, combined with our collective effort as a community, will help us overcome this dangerous virus.”
