Security and automation provider ADT has partnered with online grocery retailer Instacart to offer a mobile safety solution for shoppers.
As part of this partnership, the company will provide its Safe by ADT platform to Instacart’s 500,000 shoppers through an in-app safety feature starting this month.
The platform will provide new safety and emergency response feature to the retailer, enabling shoppers to rapidly get in touch with emergency services anytime.
ADT Mobile Security & Strategic Projects vice-president Leah Page said: “ADT is eager to work alongside Instacart as it quickly grows and provides more ways to help keep its shoppers and customers safe with tech-based solutions like Safe by ADT.
“We believe everyone has the right to feel safe, and companies like Instacart that institute solutions like Safe by ADT are helping to create safer working experiences for hundreds of thousands of Americans.”
The safety feature, integrated within the Instacart Shopper app, will connect shoppers to emergency services and send incident details, including GPS location.
