Outdoor sporting goods retailer Sportsman’s Warehouse has opened eight new stores in four US states, including New York and Pennsylvania.
The new locations have been reopened following its recent acquisition of eight Field & Stream stores from DICK’S Sporting Goods.
The Field & Stream stores were acquired for a total purchase price of $28m. It is part of Sportsman’s Warehouse sustainable growth strategy.
The stores are located in Elmira and Rochester in New York, Camp Hill, Altoona and Washington in Pennsylvania, Asheville and Greensboro in North Carolina and Troy in Michigan.
Sportsman’s Warehouse CEO Jon Barker said: “With our new stores, we introduce the Sportsman’s brand to New York and Pennsylvania.
“Now, more customers can quickly and easily find their favourite hunting, shooting sports, fishing, camping, apparel and footwear merchandise at the local level, all backed by our well-known quality service and guaranteed best prices.”

By GlobalDataEach of the eight stores is spread across 50,000ft2 and are filled with more than 60,000 region-specific products for local, outdoor activities.
Barker added: “We look forward to providing unique events, educational seminars, jobs, and more at our new locations and becoming an important part of the to the local communities.”
In August this year, Sportsman’s Warehouse opened a new store at The Oaks Shopping Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, bringing its total to 95 stores in 25 states.
