Ahold Delhaize subsidiaries Delhaize Belgium and bol.com have expanded their cooperation with the launch of two new joint initiatives.
The collaboration is part of efforts to create a more seamless shopping experience for customers.
As part of the deal, bol.com will open its pick-up points at all Delhaize stores throughout Flanders, Belgium, starting September.
Customers in Flanders can place orders through bol.com from any of the 63 Delhaize supermarkets, which will be delivered without any extra charge.
In June this year, Delhaize and bol.com tested the pick-up point concept through a pilot programme in the Antwerp region, allowing customers to pick up their orders in Delhaize supermarkets and affiliated Delhaize stores.
The latest deal covers all these participating affiliated stores in the Antwerp region.
