Verifone will provide Aldi France with 3,200 payment devices, which can accept all cashless payments such as contactless and mobile wallets.
French consumers are increasingly preferring mobile wallet and contactless technologies to make quick purchases and experience shopping convenience.
With 900 outlets across France, Aldi will deploy Verifone’s VX 520 countertop payment system that handles contactless and NFC-enabled card processing at high speed with its robust processor and expandable memory.
This system also enables Aldi France to accept mobile wallet technologies such as Apple Pay, Google Pay and Android Pay.
Verifone will also supply its P5C PINpads and check readers to equip checkout lanes with fast and efficient payment acceptance.
Verifone VP and GM for southern Europe Jean-Philippe Niedergang said: "This demonstrates Verifone’s growth and leadership in France’s retail sector, and our ability to deliver simple, safe solutions that help to create great consumer interactions so businesses can sell more and grow."
