UK-based Blakemore Retail has purchased seven My Local stores, which will be trading soon.
With sales areas ranging from 204m² to 270m², the purchased stores are currently undergoing a rebrand and being merchandised to a SPAR format.
Blakemore Retail managing director Geoff Hallam said: “I am confident the seven new stores will prove to be a fantastic addition to the business and I am delighted to welcome the staff and management teams to Blakemore Retail.”
The stores purchased by Blakemore are located in Rhyl, Rugeley, South Benfleet, Cardiff, Chatham, Lambeth and Witham.
Earlier last month, Blakemore launched the new Bmorelocal store format.
The first two Bmorelocal stores opened in Grimsby and Swansea.
