US-based home furnishings retailer West Elm is set to open an outlet in Savannah, marking the company's first store in Georgia.
Scheduled to open on 15 September, the store will create approximately 30 jobs.
Located at 214 Drayton Street, West Elm store will occupy 10,517ft² of a mid-century building at the centre of the city’s National Historic Landmark District.
As part of West Elm’s LOCAL programme, ten Georgia-based makers and artisans will sell their products within the store’s fall assortment of modern furnishings and décor.
The local makers include Block & Hammer, Farmwood Press, Gus & Lula, Lamon Luther and Native Bear.
The store will feature a design lab that will offer services to support customers in their journey to express their personal style at home.
