Irish homeware and fashion retail brand Orla Kiely has closed its retail stores and online business.
The move follows the voluntary liquidation of its parent company Kiely Rowan.

Orla Kiely closed its stores in Covent Garden and King’s Road in London, as well as a location in Kildare, Ireland.
The retailer will continue to sell a small selection of accessories and homeware products in department stores.
Orla Kiely’s was quoted by standard.co.uk as saying: “Kiely Rowan, the retail and wholesale fashion business of Orla Kiely, has ceased trading as of Monday 17 September 2018.
“This means our retail stores in London and Kildare and our online businesses have been closed. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Orla Kiely’s Home and Design licensing business will not be impacted and its selection of accessories and homewares will continue to be sold through its distribution partners.

The decision to close has affected all Orla Kiely employees.
The retailer appointed British consultancy firm David Rubin & Partners as administrators for the brand. David Rubin & Partners’ representative was quoted by wwd.com as saying: “Having carefully considered the options, the directors of Kiely Rowan have concluded that the business should be placed into creditors’ voluntary liquidation following various challenges that have faced the company over the past few years, both in the UK and abroad.”
