Grocery retailer Aldi US has initiated a partnership with Digital Wave Technology, a company specialising in AI-driven solutions, to automate the creation of product copy and enhance product data precision.

The collaboration aims to streamline the digital channel product descriptions for Aldi’s operations within the US.

This will improve operational efficiency, resulting in cost savings for customers, and support Aldi’s commitment to maintaining low prices.

Digital Wave’s generative AI technology will produce product copy that aligns with Aldi’s brand and enriches product attributes.

Aldi plans to leverage these AI tools to provide detailed, consumer-centric product information across its digital interfaces, including website, app and email.

The retailer will leverage Digital Wave’s AI Copywriter tool to amplify its content production.

The tool is capable of generating SEO-friendly product descriptions and marketing copy in multiple languages.

The AI Product Attribution feature identifies and extracts essential attributes from images and product packaging, while bridging data gaps and augmenting digital visibility.

The partnership will establish a scaleable framework to support Aldi’s ongoing growth across digital platforms.

The automated product attribution will improve search visibility, organic search rankings and website navigation, reducing customer confusion and increasing conversions and market share.

Aldi US will maintain engagement with its diverse customer base by automating the production of on-brand, SEO-enhanced product descriptions and marketing materials across various channels.

Providing accurate and compliant product information will improve the shopping experience, attracting new customers and fostering brand loyalty.

Digital Wave Technology CEO Lori Schafer stated: “Aldi is a brand synonymous for innovation and excellence in every customer interaction. Our AI-native solutions will integrate with the existing Aldi digital infrastructure, driving revenue growth and improving profitability while delivering exceptional product experiences. We’re excited to support Aldi as it continues to set benchmarks in the grocery sector.”

In February 2025, Aldi revealed plans to open more than 225 new stores in the US during the year, as part of a five-year national growth strategy.
