VusionGroup, a retail digitalisation solutions provider, has secured a contract expansion with Walmart to expedite the introduction of its advanced technologies across the US.
The solutions will be deployed across Walmart’s entire network of 4,600 stores in the US.
Walmart US transformation & innovation senior vice-president Greg Cathey said: “We are pleased with the results of the program rollout this year and are looking forward to further expanding to more stores. Digital shelf labels have been a game-changer and simplifies the daily activities of our store teams, while providing a better shopping experience for our customers.”
VusionGroup’s EdgeSense and VusionCloud platforms were initially adopted by Walmart to bolster associate efficiency, streamline inventory restocking, and expedite the fulfilment of online orders.
Following an impressive launch in nearly 500 locations, Walmart is now set to increase the momentum of installations, bringing these operational advantages to its full fleet of stores.
In April this year, VusionGroup revised its framework agreement with Walmart US, paving the way for a swift deployment of both the solutions.

By GlobalDataAlongside this accelerated rollout, the contract also encompasses an enhancement of the software’s capabilities, aiming to refine merchandising strategies, optimise inventory control, and improve e-commerce order processing.
