British co-operative group Co-op has unveiled four revitalised UK stores after refurbishment work completed on 13 December 2024, and opened one new location.
In Oldham’s King Street, the Delph Co-op has emerged from a six-week renovation project with a transformed shopping environment.
The store, which employs 12 people, is stocked with fresh produce, meal inspirations and essential items, and offers a bakery and a food-to-go section.
The Co-op maintains its support for local agriculture. All own-brand meats are sourced from British farms, including those used in its pies, sandwiches and ready meals.
Additional amenities include an Amazon parcel collection service and an ATM.
The 2,100ft²Tynemouth Co-op has also reopened after a 16-week refurbishment. It employs 20 and emphasises its selection of fresh and chilled foods.

It also offers online delivery options via Just Eat, Uber Eats and Deliveroo, parcel collection from Amazon and DPD, and an InPost locker.
The location also features a photo booth and will soon introduce electric vehicle charging stations in its parking area.
Leeds’ New York Street Co-op has been rejuvenated after six weeks of improvements. Supporting 18 local jobs, the store provides a broad range of online delivery options for maximum convenience.
Finally, Bromley’s London Road has welcomed a brand-new Co-op store following relocation to a larger venue.
The 2,460ft² outlet offers an expanded range of fresh goods and daily necessities, PayPoint payment services, an ATM, customer parking, and multiple online delivery options.
Co-op members can access member-only pricing on everyday items and personalised deals through the membership app.
